Productivity Manifesto

Productivity in the NHS is not just a technical problem to be solved—it is a human possibility to be unlocked. The productivity manifesto is a call to action for everyone who works in, learns in, uses and/or leads the NHS. 

If we want to create the conditions for everyone to do their best work – then we need leaders, teams and organisations to sign up to 10 key principles.

National data can only explain half of the factors leading to reductions in productivity.

Factors like people & relationships can’t be explained by statistics and evidence shows where cultural readiness and relational connection have been built, we can improve productivity. 

We need to approach things differently by valuing people and culture with the same intensity we bring to performance and finance.
